Chevy Silverado 1500

The Chevy Silverado 1500 falls in the half-ton truck category. This truck, compared to the other two, will get lighter duty work done well! Such as light trailer loads and bed capacity. As far as trucks go, these models are more intended for the daily driver. Built and engineered with their needs in mind. A half-ton truck is the truck that you might consider using on a daily basis with minimal hauling needs, great for general utility needs.

Overview:

The Silverado 1500 is built for a lighter work load and designed for more drive-ability, comfort, and efficiency.

2500HD

Moving up in weight class to three quarter tons, the Chevy Silverado 2500HD is specified as a heavy duty truck. One of the first notable differences is the fuel economy. Though worse, the size of the tank is also increased for the three quarter ton Silverado. If you find the half ton lacking in power or towing capacity, the 2500 is for you. Consider your needs carefully though as the trade-off for all that power is fuel economy.

Overview:

The 2500HD is built to accommodate larger workloads and rougher conditions, perfect for farm work or off road conditions.

One Ton Truck

The Chevrolet 1 ton truck, Silverado 3500HD, is all about payload and towing. This is the class of truck you will want to be looking at when hauling and heavy towing. When this is the number one priority and is meant to be used as a daily work truck, the 3500 is for you. This truck is heavier and will have a more robust suspension to keep it up. These trucks are second to none for generating the torque required to tow the heaviest of loads. When deciding between a three quarter ton and one ton, you need to look at your average daily towing and hauling needs.

Overview:

Silverado 3500HD is the highest end of work truck available of the road today. It is built for heavy hauling and large workloads.
