2024 Chevrolet Camaro Engine Specs

All-senses engaged performance starts with the right engine — that’s why the 2024 Chevy Camaro offers three different engines, each with escalating levels of power, torque, and acceleration. The standard 3.6L V6 delivers 335 horsepower and can take you from 0 to 60 MPH in just 5.2 seconds. Step up to the 6.2L V8 in the LT1, 1SS, and 2SS models and you get 455 horsepower and 0 to 60 MPH times in as low as 4 seconds. For the most spine-tingling power, choose the ZL1 trim with its supercharged V8 — built with a 1.7L Eaton® supercharger — and 3.5-second 0 to 60 time.

All three engines offer either a six-speed manual transmission or available ten-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, and come with standard rear-wheel drive (RWD). Standard drive modes for the Camaro include snow/ice, sport, and tour; 1SS, 2SS, and ZL1 models add a track mode.

To deliver that roar you want from your Camaro, the supercharged V8 comes matched with a dual-mode exhaust system. For more confident handling, the supercharged V8 gets an electronic limited-slip differential, and, for a more comfortable ride, its performance-tuned suspension is supplemented by Magnetic Ride Control™. The ZL1 also includes standard launch control to help you accelerate faster from a standstill.
