2024 Chevrolet Blazer Engine Options and Towing Capacity
Choose between two potent engine options for the 2024 Chevy Blazer. The standard 2.0L turbocharged inline four-cylinder (I4) engine makes 228 horsepower and offers the stronger fuel efficiency ratings of the two Blazer engines. By comparison, the available 3.6L V6 engine boosts power output to 308 horsepower and is the engine you’ll want to maximize the towing capacity of your Blazer. When properly equipped, this engine can help you to up to 4,500 pounds.
Both engines send their power through a nine-speed automatic transmission. A front-wheel drive (FWD) system is standard and all-wheel drive (AWD) is available. Sporty RS models offer a twin-clutch advanced AWD system. On FWD models, the driver mode selector allows you to choose between tour, sport, snow/ice, tow/haul, and off-road modes, while AWD models feature selectable all-wheel drive, sport, tow/haul, snow/ice, and off-road modes.
